Today I woke up and went to work. Just before I got to the highway I had to drive through town on a slow 50km\/h street.
As I was driving through I see this black figure crossing the road. He’s stopped in the middle. I’m thinking, ‘The guy better hurry up, I’m going pretty fast.’ He’s waving at me with some stupid hand motions. I slow down and this guy’s a cop. I didn’t know what he was trying to tell me. He tells me to pull over.
He said ‘What part of pull over do you not understand?.’
I said ‘I didn’t know what you were doing.’
He shows me his gun and I was going 84 in a 50.
He gets more aggravated when I didn’t know what a registration looked like.
‘What does it look like?’ I ask.
‘Green with a black strip.’
‘This?’
‘The other green one !’
He gives me a ticket for almost $300 with 4 points lost.
He gives me two other potential tickets for an outdated insurance policy paper in my wallet, and an outdated registration form I had. I guess when I renewed my plates at a mall kiosk, I didn’t notice some other sticker that came with that to stick on my form? It was 2 years old so I must have overlooked that twice in a row. I’m thinking there was no other sticker.
I have 72 hours to comply.
I’ll have to call someone up Monday and ask how many points I have left. I just got a speeding ticket last year, so it’ll be a year before I get points back from that one.
I have to be good for another 2 years. I’ve been driving like a grandma most of the time for the last year. This sucks. I wonder what would happen if I lost my license. I live out in the country so bus or carpool is probably out of the question. I’d have to get an apartment in town or quit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
