Chocolate chip cookies 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 2 teaspoons hot water 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 cups all-purpose flour Semisweet chocolate chips to your preference Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a seperate bowl, stir. Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla until fluffy. Mix in dry ingredients all together until blended. Add in chololate chips to suit taste. Drop from small spoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375ºF (190ºC) for 8-10 minutes or until they JUSt begin to brown. Makes about 6 dozen small, or 4 dozen large cookies.
