Honey Garlic Chicken INGREDIENTS 4 chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise Salt & pepper to taste (marinade) 1 teaspoon sesame oil (marinade) 1 tablespoon sugar (marinade) Cornstarch (marinade) Chopped scallions to taste (optional but recommended) Sauce: 6 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup chicken broth 3/4 tablespoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar 8 cloves garlic minced 1.5 tablespoon cornstarch Slice 4 chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise, dust with salt and pepper to taste. Put sesame oil, sugar in a bowl and massage the chicken into the marinade for an hour or so absorbing all of the marinade. Just before you cook, massage a little cornstarch just enough to put a thin layer on the chicken in the bowl. Mix the sauce into a seperate bowl, put aside until later. Seer the chicken over medium/high heat with a layer of oil in the pan until it's cooked. Pour over the sauce into the pan with the chicken, it will thicken up quickly. let it simmer until the contents are hot for serving. Put on a plate with rice and serve.
