I did the brakes on the Ford Flex last night. I got stuck because I’m used to doing my car and you don’t need special tools but for this I had to get a caliper piston thinger. Instead of just pushing the piston back with a clamp or hand pressure you needed to turn it in with this special slotted thing(er). I saved about $400.

Stupid iphone, everything is touch screen! I’m on hold for 30 minutes waiting to talk to a representative “your call is important to us…”. I finally get someone to say hello and they can’t hear me. They keep saying hello but they couldn’t hear me. When I finally realized my face hit the mute button they hung up. Christ !

I woke up at 5am to be at work for 6 on Sunday morning.  The client is from Calgary and said “I’ll be ready for 9am my time, 6am your time.”  I should have double checked that but 9am her time is 11am my time.   Now what do I do for the next 5 hours?

I just put a security policy on my home router to deny internet access to the xbox and laptop that I can activate with my iPhone. Very handy when you want kids to get to bed but they want to finish a show on Netflix. I just sit at the kitchen table and activate the rule and the show drops. “Oops, Internet is broken, off to bed.”

My tennis strategy is as follows: slowly lob the ball back each time until they screw up.

I can’t stand handing over money for a crappy meal. I rarely go out for lunch anymore but I decided to go out today at work to this sub and pizza place. Normally I get a small pizza but I decided to try something new and get the Friday special which was a 12” sub. I get it and it’s unheated, cold deli meats, no sauce, nothing special $10. I don’t understand how a sub place can make a crappy sub, shouldn’t it had some flair?

Ever since my son was born a year and a half ago I haven’t bothered to set my alarm clock once.

I’m an IT guy by day, fly killer by night. Armed with only a fly swatter I devour my prey, I leave nothing standing (or flying). I learned these skills from my father – I always get my fly.
