So apparently I can do anything. A lawnmower was given to us last year and it never really started well. It’s a go-by-itself model so it’s worth fixing if it could be fixed.
This weekend I dreaded having to start it. Normally it would take about 20 pulls and a pair of vise grips but there was no hope now.
I youtubed how to clean a lawnmower carburetor since that’s likely the problem. I found the exact model I had and followed what I saw. Very simple. I was expecting a complicated metal device but it was all just plastic. I got some fresh gas afterwards and it started up first pull. I even fixed the clutch pulley so no more vise grips.
