I was discussing this with someone…”Once a cheater, always a cheater”.
If someone cheats on their person, they’re a cheater. Even if they never do it again they’ve still cheated. They’ll always have the label and it’ll never go away. A widow never loses her title; thieves never lose their title either. Mother, rapist…same thing.
If someone’s an alcoholic, they will always be an alcoholic even after they stopped drinking. They have the disease and it’s never going to go away for them.
Same analogy.
I guess that’s why they say, “Once a cheater, always a cheater”. I’ve always wondered why people are so hostile and pessimistic about that. I suppose they’re mainly saying “Well technically…they’re always one.”
Interesting.
