Zombie dog

  1. I love Sinutab. My allergies are nasty in July and I can’t really breathe through my nose 1/2 the time anyway so this just makes it that much worse. I’m now breathing out of my nose so that’s a nice treat for today. I’ll eventually have to get some sort of operation to make my nasal passages bigger. Maybe they’re all scared up or something, they feel all closed in.

  2. The new dog (Jersey) is crazy. She’s like a newborn horse with long legs that awkwardly staggers around bumping into things. She’s not that young (10 months) but I swear she doesn’t know how big her body is yet.
I also think we should have called her zombie. She just keeps coming and coming no matter what you do. We’re trying to stop her from pushing you out of the way when we open the door, feed her or let her out of her cage. I’ll push her back, put my hand or foot up or get in her way so she gets the hint but she’s stubborn. I’ll even toss her back a few feet but she just keeps coming. “braaaaaaains…”

  3. I’m putting up a few more walls in the basement to close in the workshop. It’s looking good, I’ll have to rent a van from Home Depot to get some drywall home. I’m trying to keep the dust in the room so it doesn’t blow around the house.

Workbench progress

I’ve started my workbench top finally. It’s 3 inch thick maple, 7 feet long. I’ve glued up two 12 inch pieces that would fit through my thickness planer, now I have to join them and keep going.

Please signal

I don’t know if I’ll bother using my turning signal when merging into a lane anymore, I notice everyone around here just speeds up anyway. At least if you do it without warning you can make it in.

No new bike

I ALMOST bought a motorcycle today. I was actually at the desk with the guy who accepted my offer on a 8,000km used 1100 V-star classic for a really good price. Then the other sales guy comes over and says he already sold it the day before but forgot to put the sold sign on it which was the last one of that kind. Very disappointing.

Play again

Dear Tim,

No, I would not like to play again. I’ve been playing for a month and have yet to win a single donut. Plus your product makes my urine small funny.

Good day to you sir,
Bob

P.S. Your cherry chocolate bloom donut sucks.

Workshop progress

I put up a door in the workshop to seal off the hot water tank and furnace so dust doesn’t get sucked in and blown throughout the house. The back of the furnace is all open in the next workbench room which will soon have its own door. The furnace needs to be able to get its own air to be able to combust.
I also chopped off the end of that ventilation pipe that stuck outwards about a foot for no reason. It let me put the door in tighter.

Inventions

Things I’d like to see either get invented or get more popular:

  • Polarized contact lenses.
  • Device to control your ear volume, (want to lower it).
  • Heated windshield wipers.
  • Defroster grid wires on front windshield, not just the rear. Maybe just at the bottom and sides where ice builds up.

What’s with Poppycock, the candied popcorn?
Did you notice each popcorn thing are almost identical? Since when do you pop popcorn and they pop out the same shape? They’re all large popcorn balls. Normally you get these random explosions of corn.

Either it’s something fake, like Pringles chips or they went to all the trouble of making sure they popped in a constrained, controller manner. Like putting each kernal in a holder, heating it so it explodes but only as a certain shape, a ball.
