Here is an update of the cabinet. It’s almost finished, there a few more spots for some tools to add to my collection.

You might notice a few new additions. The cabinet itself is bare walnut at the moment, I didn’t oil it yet.

This was a special project for special someone.

The frame is solid walnut. The shelf surface is 1/2” walnut plywood with solid walnut sides.

Here are the two handtool cabinet boxes I was working on. Now I can put plane accessories etc. away. The fronts are from maple burl, the drawer parts are walnut.

Half blind dovetails for the fronts, through dovetails for the backs.

Back at ‘er. Another small #handtool cabinet box. It’s been a while since I’ve done dovetails but even with the time gone by it’s the tightest and quickest yet. #woodworking #walnut

It’s not perfect but the second picture with the microbevel is sharper than it was before. Here is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, take a close up picture of a plane blade edge before and after.

Here is a small turned walnut textured box I made from a Lee Valley course taught by Steven Kennard from Nova Scotia.

I saw this spider in my backyard while pulling weeds and thought I’d take a couple pictures using my Canon 100mm macro lens.
