I’m making some modifications to the TV room.



I wanted to get rid of all the speaker wire that goes around the sides of the room. I have two rear speakers and two front speakers – lots of cable. So I put in audio jacks. Click the link for a walk through.

The dog has been spayed today.

Abby is out of surgery and doing well. She’s resting in her kennel. She gets a bit of food tonight and a full meal tomorrow morning.

I installed a doorbell and its buttons yesterday.

I’m a regular Mr. Fixit.

Today I woke up and went to work. Just before I got to the highway I had to drive through town on a slow 50km/h street.
As I was driving through I see this black figure crossing the road. He’s stopped in the middle. I’m thinking, ‘The guy better hurry up, I’m going pretty fast.’ He’s waving at me with some stupid hand motions. I slow down and this guy’s a cop. I didn’t know what he was trying to tell me. He tells me to pull over.
He said ‘What part of pull over do you not understand?.’
I said ‘I didn’t know what you were doing.’

He shows me his gun and I was going 84 in a 50.
He gets more aggravated when I didn’t know what a registration looked like.
‘What does it look like?’ I ask.
‘Green with a black strip.’
‘This?’
‘The other green one !’

He gives me a ticket for almost $300 with 4 points lost.
He gives me two other potential tickets for an outdated insurance policy paper in my wallet, and an outdated registration form I had. I guess when I renewed my plates at a mall kiosk, I didn’t notice some other sticker that came with that to stick on my form? It was 2 years old so I must have overlooked that twice in a row. I’m thinking there was no other sticker.

I have 72 hours to comply.

I’ll have to call someone up Monday and ask how many points I have left. I just got a speeding ticket last year, so it’ll be a year before I get points back from that one.

I have to be good for another 2 years. I’ve been driving like a grandma most of the time for the last year. This sucks. I wonder what would happen if I lost my license. I live out in the country so bus or carpool is probably out of the question. I’d have to get an apartment in town or quit.

I just found out today I get to retire in 2032/02/18.

That would make me 132 at retirement.

I just got a new cell phone. It took a whole lot of research to get what I wanted and I wasn’t sure if what I wanted could be done.

I’m on pay as you go – the cheapest plan imaginable and minutes carry over. I wanted to get internet on the road from my portable pocket pc. The computer has WiFi wireless internet already but you’re never really close to a hotspot when you need the net.

I wanted to connect via Bluetooth wireless to my cell phone and have my cell phone connect to the internet for me because it’s internet capable.

I knew I could get internet on the phone using it’s dumb limiting browser and places to go. The pocket pc uses it’s connection and will let me do whatever I want. I can ICQ, MSN, check my email accounts, browse to any site from my car, work, wherever. I rule. I can do this with a laptop if I wanted.

You can get a monthly cell phone account and subscribe to a $5 or $10 datapack service (internet service) but this is way more economical.

I nearly had a date with Anna!

There will not be any headlines in the near future as I am still speechless.
