Dog breeder

We went to see the pregnant black lab at a breeder last night to see if she’s the right dog and breeder for us. She was nice and knowledgeable, and the dog was really cute.

Her name was Murchie, a smaller than normal lab. She must have been the runt of the litter. She was really gentle and well behaved.

I was promised a dog when I was young “as soon as we got rid of the hamsters, we could get one.” We never got the dog. That was when I was about 10. 18 years later, I got the house and large yard needed, and now I’m getting the dog.

Bad hair day

I was having a bad hair day today and got all mad so I whipped out the scissors and shaver and went to town (cut) my own hair. I figured, what’s the worst that could happen…I mess up and I’d have to shave my head.

It went well, it’s hard to cut hair on the back of your head though.

PC issues

“What a boring headline !”

For the technically inclined:

I’m having pc hardware issues, which is rare for me. I’m always up for a new challenge.

Situation.
I have to install XP on my newest pc.
It has 2 IDE connectors and 4 Serial ATA connectors. It must keep my IDE Raid so all IDE connectors are full. I can’t attach an IDE CD-ROM to install XP (new 64 bit edition).

I tried to copy the I386 folder on a spare Serial ATA drive and boot to DOS to run setup from that drive but you can only install it by booting from cd-rom which has its own setup launcher. There’s no winnt.exe or any DOS-mode setup launcher for me to launch manually like other versions of windows. All executables say ‘cannot be run in DOS mode’.

I also tried making a 1 gb thumb drive bootable with the files form that to emulate a cd-rom but the new pc doesn’t boot from thumb drives, maybe with a bios update but I need xp to update the bios. Another pc I have does boot from it but you can’t emulate a cd-rom on it anyway. It just acts like a bootup floppy where you can execute setup at the command prompt.

I need an adapter to convert an IDE cd-rom to attach to an empty serial ATA connector (ordered, waiting for it to arrive), a PCI interface card to give extra IDE devices, or a bootable external USB cd-rom.

SEV 1 issue

The site has been down for a couple days to due technical problems. It was a SEV 1 issue ! – all systems down, complete outtage.
I got new hardware that gave me lip so I had to show who was the boss-man around here. Plus I read the instructions.
I’m sick, I’m probably not dying but I feel like crap.

Can’t hear you

I’d like to have it so you can completely turn off your hearing at will and turn it back on again later.

There’s big money there.

No more boy band

With all the crap that’s been happening to me, it’s no surprise that lately I’ve been a little distracted. My judgment has been a bit off, and I’ve been making poor choices.

That being said, I blew the chance to be in the boy band. Actually, we all screwed up.

Our manager to be, Clay Newbill flew us up to Miami so we could all meet. We ended up getting really drunk and we ended up trashing our hotel room. Some guys around the corner joined our party with some female dancers we met at the studio. They called some friends, who had friends…yadda yadda yadda… Clay got mad, said we were just there to waste his time and money so he went with another group.

Tre (spelling?) just sent me this picture. I guess they had to pay like 1.2k to fix what was done.
